1. Are Village Gardens insured?

Yes, we have full public liability and employer's liability insurance through ECS of Sheffield.

2. Do you do garden maintenance?

Yes, we can provide a weekly, fortnightly or monthly service, subject to location.

3. Is your work guaranteed?

Our work is guaranteed for one year from completion of the work. Additionally, the materials that we use are guaranteed by their respective manufacturers so you will be fully covered.

4. What type of fencing do you recommend?

The most popular range of fencing we install is concrete posts with intermediate close-boarded timber panels and concrete gravel boards, creating a strong and long-lasting fence.

5. Would choosing the cheapest slabs cut the cost of my patio?

The labour cost of installing your patio will remain the same regardless of which paving slab you choose.

However, you should remember that a patio is a long term investment and it makes sense to get it done properly from the outset and use quality materials.

Bear in mind also that an attractive patio with quality paving slabs can increase the value of your property.

6. What is a makeover? And what is a clearance?

When you have your garden trimmed up, the lawn striped with a good tight edge, this is a makeover and brings a garden back into good condition.

A clearance is "everything out"!

7. Do you take the rubbish and waste away?

We use skips and vans as necessary and appropriate to get rid of waste. We are also experienced in taking waste out through occupied houses, using strong compactor bags and dust sheets.

When a skip is required, we will make the necessary arrangements and obtain the appropriate licence, the cost of which will have been included in your quote.

8. What is the difference between an estimate and a quotation?

When we first visit your garden we will give you an estimate of the price range we think suits your job.

If we think you are serious about going ahead with the work, we will offer you a contract based upon an accurate and fully comprehensive fixed price quotation.

9. Do you do tree work?

As part of a clearance or makeover, then yes, but only up to 5m (16') in height. We can arrange a quote for your trees by a qualified tree surgeon upon request.

10. Do you require a deposit?

On any work over £500 a booking deposit of 30% of the agreed cost is required 7 working days before work commences, with the remainder being payable upon completion.

11. Do you design gardens?

Yes. We have available a garden designer and we can provide a quote for producing a garden design upon request.

12. Will You Take 'Cash In Hand' To Avoid VAT?

Sorry, no. All sales by cash or cheque are subject to 17.5% VAT, fully guaranteed and insured.
